What we collect, and what we don't
Short version: krumlov.org collects almost nothing. No cookies, no ad tracking, no email signup unless you actively opt in. Detailed version below.
Analytics
We use Plausible, a privacy-focused analytics tool. Plausible counts page views and unique visitors using anonymised data — no cookies, no personal information, no cross-site tracking. It is GDPR-compliant by design. We use this data to see which pages are popular and which need work. We do not have any other analytics installed.
Affiliate redirects
When you click an outbound link to Booking.com, GetYourGuide, or Viator from this site, you pass
through a short redirect at /go/[partner]/[slug]. We do not log the click on our side;
the partner records it on theirs, using their own cookies (per their privacy policies). If you book,
we receive a commission notification from the partner that includes the booking total — but not
your name, address, or other personal data.
Cookies
We don't set any cookies on this site. Plausible doesn't use cookies. The only cookies that may appear in your browser when visiting krumlov.org are the ones partner sites set if you click an affiliate link.
We don't currently collect emails from visitors. If we add a newsletter in the future, signup will be explicit opt-in and you'll be able to unsubscribe from every email we send.
Hosting and logs
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages (or Vercel — to be confirmed at launch). Standard server logs — IP addresses, request paths, user agents — may be retained briefly for security and abuse detection, per the hosting provider's policy.
